3. Determine the processing procedures

Generally, the outer and inner cylinders and planes of small and medium-sized parts refer to the single-sided allowance. In the case of single-piece small batch production, the larger blank size is taken, and vice versa, the smaller value is taken. Total allowance: 3-6mm for hand-molded castings; 3-7mm for free forging or gas cutting; 1.5-2.5mm for round steel. Process allowance: 0.8-1.5mm for semi-finishing turning; 0.4-0.5mm for high-speed finishing turning.
4. Determine the cutting amount and labor quota used
The cutting amount for single-piece small batch production is generally selected by the producer, and the labor quota is set by the management personnel.
